breaking news reports and personally authored articles from the general public. We see it

as a grass roots news blog operating in the spirit of a nonprofit and public interest benefit.

                                                                 Is a fee or subscription required to access any news reports?                                                                                                      Not at all, have at it and consume all the news we offer. Even our weekly E-News offer that                                           

sends the top Mon-Fri Pontiac news to your email inbox each Saturday morning is free too.

                                                                    On the Opinion Page, can I post my viewpoints at anytime?                                                                                              Yes, posts can be inserted 24/7 during any hour or day. All topics are open (within decency) and you

may start without a moderator present, we demand good conduct. Refer to post terms. - click at top.

                                                                   Who can submit visitor articles for display on this site?                                                                                                                                   Although our focus is on Oakland County, content from anyone of legal age                                                                                                                 and from any locale are permitted under the terms of the approval guidelines.  

                                                                 How long do Top news and Visitor articles remain on display?                                                                                                 Top news reports normally remain 1-5 days and moved to archives for 7 days.  All Visitor sent                                     

 articles is displayed for 1 week before moving to archieves section for an additional seven days.

                                                                    What time are new articles posted on the Top News page?                                                                                                 The page is updated Monday thru Friday at 12 pm (noon). 5:30pm, and 10:30pm est. There are no

          regularly scheduled new posts added on Saturday and Sunday as a flexible rule. However, there           

                             will be reports inserted on both days anytime breaking news stories or weighty events occur that                            

                                     would fall under best practices guidelines towards alerting our readers.

                                                                    Can anyone fill out surveys and when are results released?                                                                                                    The system was designed to target demograhics of Pontiac. Survey results appear 3 business           

  days after the posted end date. Notice: Saturday and Sunday is not counted as business days.

                                                                      Can I sell my items as a business owner in Classified ads?                                                                                                         Yes, business owners and the general public can advertise, promote, buy & sell, plus swap                                                                                      and barter till your hearts content.                                                                        Are there items I can't display within the Classified Ads?                                                                                                             Let's just say that there are limitations where red stop lights and no go zone signals are in                                                                                         force with Classified Ads.                                                                      Is Classifed area a good place to meet up or arrange dates?                                                                                                    This really isn't that place. As a news blog focused platform with a few bell and whistle additions                    

                                      included for the enjoyment of our readership base, we discourage any activity of that nature, and                           

                                if we have to warn anyone that actually goes there, any second attempt on their part will result in                     

              the guilty party being permanently banned from the 248Newsnut.com platform without recourse.
